Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGIUSEPPINA SCARPINO ROMEO March 1, 1928 - December 15, 2007 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppina Romeo, with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by Frank, her devoted husband of 60 years; her three children, Josie (Art Lucidi), Joe (Susana Romeo), and Cathy; four grandchildren, Elena (Chris Caligiuri), Federica (Kevin Guenther), Patricia, and Francesca; two great-grandchildren, Julia and Isabella, brothers, Francesco (Angelina), Andrea (Lina), sisters, Candida (Frank), Maria (Tony), and numerous family members and friends. Predeceased by her parents in her native Amato, Italy, Domenico and Caterina Scarpino; brothers, Battista (Carmela) and Domenico, sister Angela (Giacomo) and daughter Immacolata. Giuseppina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Through her many life challenges, she always remained motivated, positive and optimistic. This strength of character, determination and perseverance is the legacy she leaves with us. Her love, care and generosity found their expression in her many gentle and giving ways. Her warmth and intelligence were shared with those who needed her counsel and friendship. Her love of life led her to travel to many parts of Canada and Mexico, as well as her beloved cottage in Gimli. The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff of the St.Boniface Hospital Emergency Department, and especially Natalie Imbrogno and Lydia Ominga of Home Care. Viewing will be held at Thomson In The Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on December 19. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Ave., with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Entombment will be at the Eternal Memories Mausoleum on Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Amant Centre, 440 River Rd., Phone: 256-4301.
